Special Issue: Teachers' Stories: AI, Social Media, Loneliness, Solitude, Silence and Speech

I would like to invite you to contribute to a special issue of TERECONET that explores teachers' lived experiences with AI, social media, loneliness, solitude, silence and speech.

Rather than writing a traditional academic paper, this special issue seeks personal, reflective narratives. We are interested in authentic stories about how these experiences have influenced you as a teacher, researcher, learner or individual.

Your article may describe, for example:

  • how AI has changed your teaching or thinking;
  • how social media has influenced your professional or personal life;
  • moments of loneliness or solitude and what they taught you;
  • the role of silence or speech in your classroom, research or everyday life;
  • an experience that transformed the way you understand teaching, learning or communication.

We especially welcome articles that tell a genuine story while also reflecting on its broader meaning for education.

Guidelines

  • Length: 800–1,000 words
  • Style: Reflective, engaging and accessible (rather than a formal research paper)
  • Images: You are encouraged to include one or more photographs, drawings or other illustrative images that complement your story.
  • Originality: Please submit original work that has not been published elsewhere.

Before submission, the guest editor, Dat Bao, will be happy to provide editorial feedback and help polish your article where appropriate.

Submission Deadline: 30 August 2026

Once your article is ready, please submit it individually through the TERECONET online submission system:

After review, approximately 10–12 articles will be selected for publication in the special issue.
